June 2020: Brighter Days
We’re seeing sunnier skies, warmer temps, and online classes wrapping up. The stay-at-home order has been lifted here in Michigan, and it appears as though we are on the path to brighter days. Here’s how to embrace the summer sunshine and make the most of this month!
Find Day Camps for Kids: Still want to get the kids involved in a fun day camp this summer? Now’s the time to act. These activities return safely in Michigan on June 8. Where to start? We recommend calling camps and facilities to make sure they will be open. KidsCamps.com showcases some great local sports camps, and Oakland County Moms has identified a variety of awesome camps all over Michigan!
Plan a Vacation: Restrictions are slowly lifting nationwide, which means you can still try to plan a vacation if you’re comfortable with leaving your home. We may be biased, but a safe, in-state vacation may be the best way to go… especially since Michigan has no shortage of amazing beaches. Check out Pure Michigan’s 7 Beachtown Destinations! Remember to follow local guidelines.
Celebrate Dad: Spend some time with your dad if you are able to this Father’s Day! Celebrate the father figure in your life on June 21. If you can’t see them, it’s always nice to give them a call, send them a card, or even give them a gift. Here are some fantastic Gift Ideas!
Spread the Word: June is National Homeownership Month! Do you know anyone who is still renting? Text or call them to share the benefits of homeownership. Homeowners can 1) Customize and update their home. 2) Build equity. 3) Forget about rising rent payments. 4) Leave behind noisy neighbors. Tell a renter you know to get in touch with us! We are well-equipped to help first-time homebuyers: 734-564-6579. We would love to help them find their first home!
Cheers to brighter days!
